Welcome to Hagel’s Upholstery serving you from Penticton BC. We had an interesting start to our trade three generations ago when my grandfather, who was in the Navy as a sailmaker, started making custom furniture. As a family, we came to Okanagan for summer holidays and fell in love with the area. Dad moved the business to Penticton in 1977 and then I (Chris) stepped in to continue the business in 2008. After three generations in the upholstery trade, we have gained the skills and experience needed to expand into custom mattresses for RVs and trailers, marine upholstery, commercial projects for restaurants and hotels, and classic car upholstery.
We are proud to be known throughout the Okanagan Valley for quality workmanship and material. Our retail showroom in Penticton is open three days a week so our customers can see our work and experience our fabric selection first-hand. We are here to consult on material selection, budgets and timelines. If you prefer to reupholster your own furniture, we sell the supplies and tools you need to complete your project successfully.

What is your service area?
We welcome drop-offs from the entire Okanagan Valley – Vernon, Grand Forks, Princeton, and beyond. If you’re coming to or through the Okanagan for holidays, pre-arrange a drop-off time and we can have your renewed piece finished for you to pick up on your way home.
Can you give me a free estimate or do you charge for that?
es! Our estimates are free of charge. Email us a photo or bring the item in for us to estimate. We’ll discuss your choice for indoor or outdoor fabric, repairs that need to be done (for example, re-milled wood pieces) and project completion timelines. Our estimates are good for 60 days.
Can you pick up and deliver my couch? I don’t have a vehicle to transport it to you.
Yes, we have a pickup and delivery service for the Penticton area. Please call us to discuss your options.
Can you repair a leather couch?
Yes we update and repair like new leather sofas and chairs. We have various colours in stock. We can arrange to pick up your couch if it is tricky for you to get it to us. Send us a photo and we will provide a quote.
